New Upcoming cars in India 2013

Maruti Regina

Suzuki’s concept car for the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show is this – the Regina. It is also a known fact that most of the affordable and small models from the Suzuki line-up eventually make it to the Indian market too. The Regina should be going on sale in the international market by late 2012 which means we can expect and an Indian launch by 2013. The Regina will be positioned below the Swift which means it will have a starting price of around Rs 4.25 lakh. It might just come with a next generation petrol engine which is said to be very very efficient. It remains unclear if Maruti will use the FIAT derived diesel engine in this too. Lets wait and watch!

 Kia Picanto

The car that was caught on camera was the same version which made its global debut at 2011 Geneva Motor Show. An i10 engine under the hood, the car offers more sporty feeling with racy exterior, long flowing lines on the doors and dynamic design. The chic and cute tagged Picanto seems to have grown up and the all new car has sharp and step-cut front end and an unmistakable front grill which gives Picanto its unique form and identity.

 Hyundai New Tucson

Remember the old Tucson for Hyundai? That was a yet another premium SUV from the Korean giant that didnt really have a very good innings in the Indian segment. However, the company has learnt well from their past mistakes and now, are all set to roll out the all-new Tucson (named iX35 in the international market) in the Rs 18 – 20 lac segment. The launch is due to happen by March 2012

 SsangYong Korando

Yet another interesting SUV lined up for the Indian market will be the SsangYong Korando.  Volkswagen Polo TSI

While the Polo 1.6 did not set the sales charts on fire, enthusiasts mourned the loss of a hot hatch. But it was inevitable with the rising prices of fuel, kmp/h is now less important than kmpl but there is now some good news as Volkswagen has plans to bring the hot hatch version of the Polo back. This time it is not in 1.6 avatar but the 1.2 TSI.

 Honda Amaze

Honda will bring a diesel engined variant in its entry level sedan coming late 2013. The entry level sedan is based on the Brio and will compete with the Toyota Etios and the Maruti Dzire amongst others. This all new diesel is for India and is much needed if Honda wants to make a serious dent and regain its former glory in this diesel centric market. It will be called the Honda Amaze

In january Fiat had upgraded the Linea sedan with some new features and a new colour. Though the changes were welcomed Fiat needs something new and radical. Now, new models are expected but the Linea is quite a important car and Fiat should not waste any time in bringing this heavily facelifted Linea to India.

 Audi A3 Sedan

Audi will launch its cheapest model yet, the A3 sedan in India by the end of this year. It was first unveiled at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. The four-seat notchback sedan shown here as concept form will have a attractive price-tag. The Audi A3 Concept is a four-seat notchback sedan which measures 4.44 meters (14.57 ft) long and 1.84 meters (6.04 ft) wide.

General Motors has showcased the new look Beat for the international market and this version will go on sale abroad by mid 2012 – the same time when we also expect this updated Beat to hit the Indian market. Prices are expected to go up slightly and the same petrol and diesel engines will be retained
